50 years after falling on Earth, the Autobots are accidentally awakened when police try to stop an insect mixed with nanobots that has gone out of control, created by the renowned inventor of robotics in New Detroit, Isaac Sumdac. Taking the form of land vehicles, the Autobots defeat the creature, and also meet Sari Sumdac, the daughter of Isaac, whose security key is transformed by the Allspark into a transformable key capable of even healing the wounds of the Autobots. Helping in situations of risk, the Autobots soon become the “cybernetic superheroes” of the city. Meanwhile, in space, the Decepticon Starscream captures the energy signal of the Allspark and heads towards Earth.
